Adani Power and Druk Green Power to jointly develop 770 MW hydropower project in Bhutan

Adani Power Limited and Druk Green Power Corp. Ltd. have signed a shareholders agreement to jointly establish a 770 MW Chamkharchhu Hydropower Project in Thimpu, Bhutan, according to a filing with the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The project will be undertaken by a newly incorporated public company with a 49:51 shareholding between Adani Power and DGPC, respectively, and follows a broader 5,000 MW hydropower development memorandum of understanding between the Adani Group and DGPC. The initial share capital will be issued with 4.9 million shares to Adani Power and 5.1 million shares to DGPC at a value of BTN 100 per share.
