Axis Max Life Insurance Appoints Mrinal Sinha as Chief People Officer

Axis Max Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Mrinal Sinha as Chief People Officer (CPO). This appointment will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Sinha currently serves as the Head of Human Resources at Axis Max Life, overseeing distribution HR, non-distribution HR, Centers of Excellence, and Learning & Development.

He succeeds Shailesh Singh, who is retiring after a distinguished career spanning over three decades.

In his new role, he will spearhead the company's people strategy. He will focus on building a workforce proficient in digital technology, strengthening leadership opportunities, and fostering an agile, technology-driven culture to support the insurer's next phase of growth.

With over 20 years of experience in HR and organizational transformation, Sinha has held leadership positions at major BFSI firms, including Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. He has also previously worked with Max Life Insurance.

He played a pivotal role in formalizing the organizational and talent review framework, enhancing leadership succession planning, and driving capability building across the company. Under his leadership, Axis Max Life was recognized among the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in India and the Top 25 Best Workplaces in the BFSI Sector' in 2025.
